WASHINGTON, D.C.— Increasingly, communities across America have discovered land has been sold – sometimes surreptitiously – to buyers intent on building an “Islamic society” or “Islamic center,” sometimes with plans to surround them with Muslim-only neighborhoods or even “cities.”
Local authorities usually treat the resulting applications for such land use as routine zoning matters, rubber-stamping them if they conform to relevant ordinances.
Unfortunately, such mosques are typically owned by the Muslim Brotherhood’s front group called the North American Islamic Trust. Governors Greg Abbott of Texas and Ron DeSantis of Florida have correctly designated the Brotherhood and another of its fronts as “terrorist organizations.” And such sharia-adherent mosques constitute part of the critical infrastructure of jihad. .
The next BanSharia.com webinar today from 12:00-1:30 p.m. ET will explore the historic roles of mosques going back to Mohammed’s time as multi-use facilities – including as locations for the storage of weapons and training and planning for their use in violent jihad. It will, in addition, consider the evidence that such traditional practices are continuing today in the United States, with potentially dire implications for public safety and national security.
The webinar will also discuss the need for Governors Greg Abbott of Texas and Ron DeSantis of Florida to build on their respective designations of the Muslim Brotherhood and one of its front groups doing business as the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) as terrorist organizations. Through another front group, the North American Islamic Trust, the Brotherhood owns myriad “Islamic societies” and “Islamic centers” in Texas, Florida and other states. It behooves both governors immediately to conduct investigations of the potential threat such mosques present and to impose moratoriums on the consideration of applications for their further approvals and construction.
